1. LG Electronics OLED55B8PUA 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED
OLED TVs would be the image quality kings, but they are not affordable. The TVs' OLED displays use natural light-emitting diode technologies to provide contrast and brightness and viewing angles that no LCD TV (or even QLED) may match. Even this TV from 2018 is the one. With picture quality very near this 2019 C9 (under ) and a cost that is less, the B8 has aged beautifully.
Nevertheless, we anticipate the 2019 B9 (also under ) to drop in price shortly, so the B8's location near the peak of the list will not continue forever.

2. TCL 65" Class 6-Series 4K UHD QLED Dolby Vision HDR Roku Smart TV
No TV I've ever analyzed offers this image quality for this cash. The latest version of this TCL 6-Series has picture quality compared to its predecessor, thanks to improved color, and its well-implemented full-array neighborhood dimming helps it run circles around just about any other TV at this price.
The Roku TV operating system is our hands-down favorite as if that's not enough.

3. LG OLED65C9PUA Alexa Built-in C9 Series 65" 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV
What? You need the very best? Here you can go. Within my side-by-side evaluations the C9 is the best TV I have ever reviewed, just beating the 2018 models such as the B8 (above), however, the B8 is a superior worth nearly as good and not as costly.
This 2020 OLED TV also has all of the HDMI 2.1 future-proofing that many high-end buyers, especially players, want.

4. VIZIO 65" Class M-Series Quantum 4K Ultra HD (2160p)
Besides the TCL 6-Series above, no TV provides this image for this cash. The TCL won slightly in a few areas that were important, in particular HDR brightness and black level. I recommend the TCL to audiences due to its Roku TV system that is smart that is exceptional. All that said, the Vizio available for significantly less than the TCL and remains an excellent selection just be certain you're receiving the M8, not the M7.

5. TCL 43S425 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV

The Q70R has an excellent picture and a good deal of Samsung design and attributes goodies for a cost that's relatively affordable, albeit not precisely "budget" If you're not interested in a TCL or even Vizio and don't want to splurge to an OLED, then the Q70 is an excellent option.

7. LG OLED65B9PUA B9 Series 65" 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV
Although it's the OLED TV on this list, the B9 may be the very best TV of this year soon as its price drops this vacation season or the B8 from 2018 sells out. The B9 enhances over the B8 with extras such as HDMI 2.1 features and assistance for Amazon Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2. It fell of this C9 in image quality in our tests, but the gaps are minuscule -- and because it's a couple it's a better value.
